Basically, everything needs a URI. And today I’m realizing that they are especially important for businesses. While there would be legitimate privacy concerns over giving every person some unique identifier, I think we can all agree that it’s good idea for businesses and corporations.
With Outfoxed, you can evaluate anything that has a URI. Right now, a business can only be referenced indirectly via it’s web page. This is good, but it would be better to have a standard directory of legal entities that could be referenced.
All of this stuff is supposed to be in the public record (at least in the US), so it’s just a matter of the government (or someone) publishing it online in a useable format. (I.e. RDF)
